Punjab Police successfully repelled an attack by Khariji terrorists on a police checkpoint in Taunsa, earning commendation from Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi for their bravery and professionalism.
According to official sources, the attack took place late last night when a group of armed militants attempted to storm the checkpoint. Demonstrating remarkable courage and strategic skill, the police swiftly countered the assault, compelling the attackers to retreat.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the police for their heroic response, stating, “The police courageously confronted the Khariji terrorists and thwarted the attack. Punjab Police handled the situation with utmost professionalism, successfully foiling their malicious plans.”
Naqvi also acknowledged the past heroism of the region’s police force. “The valiant officers of Dera Ghazi Khan police have previously repelled attacks by Khariji terrorists with great bravery. Once again, they have proven their resilience,” he remarked.
In his statement, Naqvi extended his congratulations to the entire police team, saying, “I commend the entire police force for crushing the evil designs of the Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists. Their professionalism and bravery are a source of pride for the nation.”
The security has been further tightened across the district, with increased patrols and surveillance to prevent any potential threats.
